Last year, I told them something about the competition called Transgrancanaria and that is developed on the island of Gran Canaria. This time, there were four tests, the showpiece of 123 km that started from Maspalomas, the next of 96 km from Playa del Ingles (range, much like the ultimate proof), then there is the 42-km part Stallion's camp on the summit of Gran Canaria, and finally, the 24 km from the village of Teror. They all end in the Auditorium located on the beach of Las Canteras in Las Palmas (north of the island)
Well, this year, I could not get seats to participate in the primary race (the 24km) so, as I had a lot to gain from it, decided to walk the following week. The first part, I had been walking for the camera and wanted to enjoy the magnificent views of the course. The second part, about the last 15 km, I did it running (trotting rather)

was the first time I was on a tour running through mountains and ravines. I had always run in more or less prepared areas and flat, except for some training in areas of steep, but always on asphalt.
Obviously, feelings are very different. I also verify that the preparation must be also quite different.
During the tour, alternating areas of strong increases, with areas of heavy declines. In addition, the flat part of the journey was the most difficult, being in the bed of a ravine with many stones. This part of the tour was extremely hard to have to change the gestures biomechanism Career and requiring a more intensive effort. In fact, I do not know if lack of experience or because they really had to be so, but I overloaded adductors and suffered a slight muscle tear in two days. The reason is that to be dodging rocks, there were many times fumbling giving the stride foot slightly outward.
The ups and downs, were also particularly hard because the terrain is irregular, especially if you do not have enough muscle strength to endure. Therefore, the gym work for the lower body should be higher for this type of career for a half marathon or marathon flat surface regular.
Nothing, I hope that, with the photos attached, some will be encouraged next year to come and do some of the races. Of course, with proper training, this race is wonderful and worth doing.
